Job summary

Greencore Group plc, a leading UK food producer, seeks a senior planning leader to translate sales forecasts into practical production and material plans across sites. You will guide a diverse planning team, manage budgets and partner with commercial and supply chain to ensure strong service and cost efficiency.

You will liaise with customers, drive joint business planning, maintain audit readiness, and support NPD initiatives while delivering best-in-class planning performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning teams in a manufacturing/supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of sales order processing and distribution planning.
• Experience negotiating with third party logistics providers.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control experience.
• Ability to manage and develop diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules.
• Provide leadership to ensure planning team safety, engagement, development and delivery.
• Construct budgets and manage spend for cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with commercial and supply chain to build accurate forecasts for SOP performance.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to support joint business planning and NPD.
• Monitor policy compliance and implement plans to maximise audit readiness.
• Demonstrate ability to manage customer expectations and deliver high service levels.
• Demonstrate experience in leading diverse teams and budgeting.
