Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Property & Planning Advisor to drive the Land and Property division forward, focusing on planning and development advice across the business. The role includes mentoring colleagues, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting client growth through strategic planning advice.

The role requires travel predominantly around East Anglia, with occasional nationwide travel. A degree in Town Planning or related field plus RTPI/RICS credentials are preferred as you build a

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, Planning, Surveying or another relevant discipline.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to professional development and up-to-date planning knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Travel to clients around East Anglia as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise clients on planning applications, development opportunities and alternative income streams.
• Prepare and manage Permitted Development and full planning applications, pre-application enquiries and general development matters.
• Provide planning appraisals, site assessments and advice on development potential and planning strategy.
• Manage planning cases from instruction through submission, determination and post-decision matters.
• Liaise with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, agents and other stakeholders.
• Advise on planning conditions, obligations, appeals and enforcement matters.
• Support growth of Sentry’s planning and development service and generate new work.
• Oversee National utility projects and supervision of contractors.
• Commercial management of light industrial units, offices and estates; marketing and compliance.
