Job summary

The Talent Set are partnering with an established charity to recruit an experienced Senior Philanthropy Consultant on a six-month contract. This is a senior operational and strategic support role, not a direct fundraising position, aimed at strengthening the philanthropy function during a period of transition and growth.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in philanthropy, major gifts or high-value fundraising.
• Strong understanding of the donor journey from prospecting to renewal.
• Experience managing portfolios, pipelines and fundraising processes.
• Confidence coaching fundraising colleagues and working with senior volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support colleagues, help new team members settle in and develop skills.
• Review donor and prospect portfolios and identify opportunities.
• Strengthen pipeline reviews, tracking and reporting.
• Advise on cultivation and stewardship plans and donor engagement.
• Support donor events, briefings, reports and senior stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate activity with fundraising operations, events, marketing and programme teams.
• Contribute to campaign preparation and new workflows.
• Assist with budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.
