Job summary

The Welsh Rugby Union Group is seeking an experienced People Advisor to support managers across the organisation with practical, compliant HR guidance and colleague support. You’ll handle a wide range of people matters in a fast-paced environment.

This busy role involves advising on employee relations, reviewing contracts and policies, delivering manager training, and using data to drive smarter decisions. Welsh-speaking ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a People Advisor or HR Advisor with practical guidance.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience supporting formal HR processes.
• Ability to coach and influence managers.
• Experience with HRIS and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate and practical people advice to managers.
• Coach and influence managers, including constructive challenge.
• Support formal and informal HR processes: disciplinary, grievance, investigations, performance, attendance.
• Manage employee relations cases; escalate higher-risk matters.
• Review and amend contracts, policies, letters and other HR documentation.
• Keep up to date with employment law and translate changes into action.
• Support manager training, briefings and guidance.
• Work across recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Use people data to support better decision making.
• Contribute to People Team projects and continuous improvement.
