Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Partnerships Advisor to join the DGFS Partnerships Team. You will drive communications and engagement to support fleet transformation, sustainability and service improvements across the Defra Group.

With experience in stakeholder engagement and change management, you will build trusted relationships, develop engagement plans, and translate complex information into clear messages for diverse audiences. The role offers flexible working with national travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering planned communications, engagement or consultation activity, including planning approaches and audiences.
• Experience leading engagement with diverse stakeholders, building trusted relationships and influencing decisions.
• Experience supporting complex change, transformation or service improvement programmes through effective communications and engagement.
• Ability to develop clear communication narratives, engagement plans and key messages that support business priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including producing high-quality briefings, presentations and reports.
• Experience analysing stakeholder feedback to improve engagement outcomes.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of communications and engagement activity that supports DGFS priorities and objectives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the Environment Agency and Defra Group, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement plans, workshops, briefings, meetings, events and consultations.
• Translate complex fleet-related information into clear communications for operational teams and partners.
• Provide communications and engagement advice to project teams and service leads to support change and delivery outcomes.
• Identify engagement risks and opportunities, escalating as needed and proposing solutions.
• Champion best practice in communications and engagement across DGFS.
