Job summary

Environment Agency in Defra Group Fleet Services is seeking a Partnerships Advisor to lead communications and stakeholder engagement across DGFS and EA. You will build strong relationships, deliver engagement plans, and support fleet transformation and sustainability initiatives while aligning with government priorities and organisational goals.

You will work with operational teams and partners, shaping engagement approaches, informing stakeholders through change, and providing trusted advisory

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering planned communications, engagement or consultation activity.
• Experience leading engagement with diverse stakeholders, building trusted relationships and influencing decisions.
• Experience supporting complex change, transformation or service improvement programmes.
• Ability to develop clear communication narratives and engagement plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of communications and engagement activity supporting DGFS priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across EA and Defra Group.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans including workshops, meetings and consultations.
• Translate complex information into clear, accessible communications for stakeholders.
• Provide communications and engagement advice to project teams and service leads.
• Identify engagement risks and opportunities and suggest improvements to programme delivery.
• Champion best practice in communications and engagement across DGFS.
