Job Description:

Business Development Representative - United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Telent is looking for a new addition to the Sales & Marketing team as part of the Network Services division. We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Business Development Representative to join our team and help build and develop relationships within the Emergency Services, Public Sector, Government, Utilities, and Nuclear sectors. This role involves working through a Telent training plan and collaborating with our teams at Warwick and Camberley offices at least one day per week, alternating weekly.

Responsibilities of a Business Development Representative (BDR):

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of Telent, our offerings, and the markets we serve to educate prospects.
  • Support the sales pipeline by researching target accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Create and coordinate campaigns for prospect accounts based on territory research.
  • Perform targeted outreach via calls, emails, social media, and creative efforts to generate interest and sell services.
  • Follow up on inbound leads to convert them into meetings and new business opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on weekly activities and pipeline efforts.

Ideal candidate profile:

Resilient, driven, self-motivated, and practical in approach. Experience in outbound sales and lead generation is essential. Familiarity with business tools for targeting customers is preferred. Experience from other industries is welcome. A university degree or equivalent is also preferred, with some office work experience.
