Job summary

Nomad Foods in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Procurement Buyer to drive value across ingredients categories. You will build strong stakeholder relationships across functions and geographies, challenge and influence suppliers, and manage a large SKU set in a fast-paced environment.

You will deliver cost reductions, ensure quality and sustainability standards, and lead supplier performance with data-driven negotiations. A CIPS qualification and FMCG experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent, possibly within Business or Food Science.
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification.
• Experience of working in multi-national, commercial organisations of scale, and/or within FMCG and Food Manufacturing sector experience preferred.
• Some experience in a procurement function within a matrix organisation would be helpful, but is not necessary.
• Some experience of delivering commercial value through negotiation skills and commercial awareness, either at work or in an alternative setting.
• Experience of working on multi-function, multi-geography and multi-category activities and projects.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills distilling detailed information down into key clear messages.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Commercial Value: Maximises end to end value creation by optimising the supplier base, leveraging scale and standardising terms with suppliers.
• Continuously identifies ways to unlock value by collaborating with suppliers to reduce costs.
• Uses market intelligence to forecast price and market trends for negotiations.
• Owns delivery of annual targets for productivity improvements and reductions in COGs for the segment.
