Job summary

Sowena Group are exclusively partnered with a boutique advisory business in Manchester in their search for an Origination Manager. This is an origination-focused opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors and creating new business opportunities.

The primary objective is to identify and develop new opportunities across the UK lower and mid-market, targeting privately owned and PE-backed firms with turnover below £100m.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate finance, debt advisory, investment banking or similar professional services.
• Proven experience in business origination and generating new opportunities.
• Strong understanding of lower and mid-market businesses and ability to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Originate new opportunities across the UK lower and mid-market.
• Identify financing or advisory requirements and connect with senior decision-makers.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, management teams, investors and intermediaries.
• Develop relationships with accountants and corporate finance advisers to generate referrals.
• Maintain an active origination pipeline and manage opportunities from id to qualification.
• Support transaction execution where required and contribute to market presence.
