Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Business Support Manager (Band 6) to join the Operations team. The role focuses on supporting the COO's portfolio, driving performance oversight and continuous improvement.

The post holder will work with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and senior operational colleagues to coordinate and deliver key strategic initiatives, ensuring structured delivery and timely governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and monitoring of Trust strategic objectives, performance metrics and operational priorities.
• Contribute to Integrated Quality and Performance reporting with analysis and insights for senior decision-making.
• Support governance processes, including Integrated Quality and Performance Meetings.
• Provide high-quality briefings, reports and presentations for senior leaders and Board-level discussions.
• Lead project and programme support across strategic priorities, coordinating work to agreed timescales.
• Assist service transformation, pathway redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
• Identify risks, track progress and support mitigation plans.
• Coordinate input from multiple stakeholders to deliver complex workstreams.
