Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Communications & Media Relations Manager to lead the media strategy for its Markets and Economics business, with a strong emphasis on UK and international broadcast coverage.

You will develop strategic media campaigns, raise the profile of senior spokespeople and research insights, and collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality messaging.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and delivering strategic communications and media campaigns.
• Strong knowledge of media relations with journalist and broadcast contacts.
• Excellent understanding of corporate communications, branding and audience engagement.
• Experience in banking, financial services or similar complex corporate environment.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a strategic media relations plan aligned to business priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, especially across broadcast media.
• Raise the profile of senior spokespeople, research and market insights through targeted media engagement.
• Identify and manage key media opportunities, announcements and campaigns.
• Work with senior stakeholders to develop effective communications.
• Collaborate with UK, European and international teams to maximise messaging.
• Monitor media trends and market intelligence to inform communications strategy.
• Support wider corporate communications activity and contribute to the organisation's overall reputation and profile.
• Ensure all communications activity meets high professional and ethical standards.
