Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Materials Planner in Desford on a 12-month contract, onsite with core hours 08:00–15:00. You will manage material priorities, backorders and expedite orders to sustain supply across facilities.

The role requires strong Excel skills, plus experience with Power BI/Power Apps or SQL. A proactive, analytical mindset and effective communication are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, FMCG or related analytical field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and lookups; familiarity with Power BI/Power Apps or SQL is a plus.
• Analytical problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and proactive attitude.
• Fully onsite role with occasional local travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Supply & inventory management: prioritize material needs, backorders, and expediting orders.
• Customer & stakeholder support: serve as a key point of contact and resolve supply issues.
• Risk mitigation & continuous improvement: identify risks and perform root cause analyses.
• Cost efficiency: minimize premium freight and maintain efficient material flow.
• Data & project support: track, analyse, and report on inventory and performance.
