Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in Desford, UK, is seeking a proactive Material Planner to support supply chain across multiple facilities. The role focuses on material availability, backorder management, and on-time deliveries in a 12-month contract.

You will work onsite with core hours 08:00 to 15:00, with flexible shifts, using Excel, Power BI, and SQL to analyze data and report on inventory and risks. Travel up to 10% may be required; PPE provided where necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, FMCG, or related analytical field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and lookups.
• Analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supply & Inventory Management: establish material priorities, manage backorders, expedite orders, and determine alternative supply routes.
• Customer & Stakeholder Support: act as contact for inquiries, build global relationships, resolve supply issues.
• Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement: identify production risks, conduct root cause analyses, implement improvements.
• Cost Efficiency: help minimize premium freight costs while maintaining high service levels.
• Data & Project Support: use software tools and spreadsheets to track and report on inventory and risks.
