Job summary

Alexander Dennis is seeking a Material Planner to join the Procurement team. You’ll ensure materials are available on time, of the right quality, and within budget to support production schedules.

You’ll own material availability for assigned parts, manage purchase orders, liaise with suppliers, and take timely MRP actions to prevent shortages and protect production plans. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication, and a commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Pro‑active, detail-focused planner with ownership.
• Experience with MRP systems and supplier communications.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Own material availability for assigned parts and proactively manage purchase orders and supplier communications.
• Perform MRP actions and monitor shortages to protect production plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise procurement and logistics processes.
