Job summary

Artifex Elmdon is seeking a Material Planner to ensure material availability for uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery. You will work with suppliers, production planning, scheduling, engineering and purchasing to analyze demand and manage supply data in the ERP system.

This fast-paced role requires proactive problem solving, strong supplier relationships, and attention to detail to drive supply chain performance and support lean initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production/materials planning or manufacturing scheduling.
• A good understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor material requirements against production schedules and customer demand, identifying shortages and coordinating with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate MRP schedules and review supplier schedules.
• Oversee supplier EDI and ASN compliance and resolve shipment issues.
• Support engineering change implementation and contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
