Job summary

Continuum Recruitment Group is seeking a Material Planner to ensure material availability for production against a rolling three-month plan in a predominantly procurement-focused role.

The role requires experience in material planning and procurement within manufacturing, with exposure to alloy/engineered materials and strong supplier management capabilities. You will work cross-functionally to maintain ERP/MRP data and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in material planning, procurement or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Multi-category purchasing or material management experience.
• Experience with alloy, metal or engineered materials is highly desirable.
• Aerospace or automotive experience is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Manage material requirements against a rolling three-month production plan.
• Place and manage purchase orders across multiple material categories.
• Ensure material availability supports production schedules and customer demand.
• Work with suppliers to manage lead times, shortages and delivery performance.
• Monitor stock levels, consumption, and future material requirements; expedite critical materials when needed.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Procurement, Operations and Quality.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data and purchasing information.
• Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify supply risks and take proactive action to protect production.
