Job summary

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service in Reading is recruiting a Management Accountant to join the Finance and Procurement team. This role supports the delivery of accurate financial accounting services for the Service, partners and external bodies, interpreting regulations and providing financial analysis and guidance.

You will report to the Finance Manager, manage balance sheet reconciliations monthly, and liaise with cost centre managers, auditors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance or related field.
• Part Qualified (CCAB approved) or AAT qualification with CPD.
• Experience in financial accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial plans and budgets and monitor allocated areas.
• Contribute to revenue and capital budget management.
• Liaise with cost centre managers, auditors, contractors and suppliers.
• Provide financial advice to government departments and external bodies.
• Undertake monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
