Gillespie Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Management Accountant for a well‑established manufacturing business based near Keighley. The role blends hands‑on accounting with strategic business support and will deliver monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and insightful reporting to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting expertise.
• Experience producing budgets, forecasts and cashflow reports.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
• Proactive, commercially minded and solutions‑focused.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes.
• Analyse business performance and provide meaningful financial insights.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cashflow projections.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Reconcile sales, cost of sales and balance sheet accounts.
• Oversee supplier payments and statutory payment processes.
• Support payroll administration and related financial activities.
• Partner with department managers to provide financial guidance and support.
• Assist with stock takes, stock valuation and costing analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Provide support, guidance and mentoring to colleagues where required.
