Job summary
Hitachi Rail Limited is seeking an experienced Strategic Planner to provide specialist expertise in maintenance planning, forecasting, modelling and data governance. You will develop long-term maintenance strategies, optimise resources and contribute to bid submissions across Operations, Projects, Procurement and Data & Systems teams.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities; able to interpret complex datasets into actionable plans.
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across disciplines and levels.
- Hands-on engineering or maintenance planning experience in a complex operation.
- Advanced Excel modelling and data handling skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement heavy maintenance strategies across current and future fleets.
- Create scenario-based planning models to support bid submissions and operations.
- Validate maintenance schedules against technical and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with Projects, Operations and Procurement to ensure robust, deliverable plans.
- Assist governance and validation of planning data within Maintenance Management Systems.
