Job summary

GENEWIZ UK Ltd, part of Azenta Life Sciences, is seeking a Sales Associate to drive first-sales in life science markets. You will build relationships with academic and biotech clients, manage territory sales, and contribute to revenue growth.

You'll travel 3-5 days per month for client visits and events, develop territory strategies, lead generation, and work with senior sales leaders from day one. A life-science degree and B2B sales experience are required, with CRM experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life science-related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in biotech, lab services, or academic supply.
• Solid understanding of molecular biology and lab workflows.
• Proven success in lead generation and client acquisition.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Willingness to travel 3-5 days/month for client visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies with guidance from your manager.
• Independently manage sales cycles in academic and biotech environments.
• Organize and lead client-facing events (e.g. vendor shows, lunch & learns).
• Generate qualified leads through proactive outreach and strategic networking.
• Handle incoming inquiries and follow up with prospects professionally.
• Use CRM systems to manage customer data and project information.
• Prepare territory reports and support account planning.
• Qualify marketing leads from campaigns and events.
• Collaborate with field reps and contribute to cross-functional sales initiatives.
