Job summary

GENEWIZ UK Ltd, at Azenta Life Sciences, seeks a Sales Associate to drive territory sales in life sciences. You will develop strategies, manage cycles, and nurture relationships with academic and biotech clients across the Takeley area.

The role requires 1–3 years in B2B sales within biotech or lab services, strong biology knowledge, and CRM experience. Travel 3–5 days/month is expected; join a global team and contribute to revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science-related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in biotech, lab services, or academic supply.
• Solid understanding of molecular biology and lab workflows.
• Proven success in lead generation and client acquisition.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 days/month for client visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies with guidance from your manager.
• Independently manage sales cycles in academic and biotech environments.
• Organize and lead client-facing events (e.g. vendor shows, lunch & learns).
• Generate qualified leads through proactive outreach and strategic networking.
• Handle incoming inquiries and follow up with prospects professionally.
• Use CRM systems to manage customer data and project information.
• Prepare territory reports and support account planning.
• Qualify marketing leads from campaigns and events.
• Collaborate with field reps and contribute to cross-functional sales initiatives.
