Calibre Search is seeking a Head of People, Safety & Training to own the people, health & safety and training functions across the business. The role is senior and hands-on, combining strategic direction with practical delivery to ensure the right people are trained and compliant.

You will lead recruitment, workforce development and safety standards across multi-disciplinary construction and engineering operations, maintaining standards and culture while supporting growth.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold NEBOSH or an equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
• Experience implementing HR, training or development policies.

Aufgaben

• Lead the people, health & safety and training functions across the group.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and employee processes, ensuring the business has the right people in place to support its workload and future growth.
• Develop and manage training programmes, ensuring employees have the skills, competency and qualifications required for their roles.
• Deliver practical and classroom-based training where required.
• Take ownership of health & safety standards across construction, civil engineering, building services and facilities operations.
• Maintain and improve the company's policies, procedures and management systems, supporting its commitment to quality, safety and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Carry out audits, risk assessments and site inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring actions are followed through.
• Develop, review and maintain risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned across the business.
• Maintain accurate employee, training, competency and compliance records.
• Work with operational managers to identify training requirements, workforce needs and opportunities for development.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture, encouraging employees at all levels to take responsibility for their own safety and that of others.
• Monitor standards across the business and drive continuous improvement in people, training and safety processes.
