Calibre Search is recruiting a Head of People, Safety & Training to own the people, health & safety and training functions across the group. The role is senior and hands-on, operating strategically and practically to develop recruitment, workforce development, training and competency.

You will lead policies and safety standards across construction and engineering operations, ensuring staff are trained, competent and compliant while promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Senior or leadership experience in health & safety, training or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation in construction/engineering environments.
• Experience developing and delivering training programmes and managing workforce competency.
• Ability to implement and maintain effective policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across levels.
• Organised with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple functions.
• Experience investigating incidents, carrying out audits and driving improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the people, health & safety and training functions across the group.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and employee processes to support growth.
• Develop and manage training programmes ensuring competency and qualifications.
• Deliver practical and classroom-based training where required.
• Take ownership of health & safety standards across construction and engineering operations.
• Maintain policies, procedures and management systems supporting quality, safety and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Carry out audits, risk assessments and site inspections with corrective actions.
