Job summary

Bowercross Construction Ltd in Gravesend is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor & Workforce Training Lead to drive safety culture across our sites. You will lead development and delivery of safety standards, audits, risk assessments and training programs for our construction workforce, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and client requirements.

You will act as a trusted advisor to management and operatives, design engaging training, manage competency records, and coordinate external trainers,

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction and civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations.
• Ability to develop and deliver training to groups of varying experience levels.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety management across projects, conducting site inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation and CDM regulations.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions with reports.
• Develop risk assessments, Method statements and safe systems of work.
• Design and deliver internal H&S training programmes and toolbox talks.
• Maintain training records and monitor competency evidence.
• Engage workforce to promote safety, quality and productivity.
