Job summary

NHS England seeks an Associate Head of School of Medicine to support the Head of School in strategic development and to drive the School’s operational programme within its broader strategy. The post holder will oversee postgraduate training across Internal Medicine Stage 1 and 2 and HST Group 2 specialties, develop MRCP(UK) resources, and shape courses for consultant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of School in strategic development of the School of Medicine.
• Lead on programmes of work within the School’s strategy.
• Oversee Training in Internal Medicine Stage 1 and 2 programmes.
• Oversee Training in HST Group 2 specialties.
• Develop training resources for the MRCP(UK) examination.
• Organise courses that prepare HSTs for consultant practice (including leadership).
• Promote inclusion and continuous improvement through quality management systems.
