Job summary

Harris Hill Charity Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Head of Fundraising & Marketing to join its Senior Leadership Team. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery to build sustainable income and strong supporter relationships.

You will oversee fundraising, marketing, events, community, corporate partnerships, trusts and grants, and individual giving, while guiding the team towards shared income and engagement objectives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a similar fundraising leadership role.
• Proven track record of successful charity fundraising and achieving financial targets.
• Experience of developing and implementing departmental or organisational fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual income targets.
• Lead a broad fundraising programme across individual giving, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events, trusts and foundations, grants and lottery.
• Identify new opportunities, income streams and potential partnerships to support sustainable growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, corporate partners, sponsors and other key supporters.
• Monitor fundraising performance and using data and insight to evaluate and improve campaigns and activities.
• Prepare and manage the fundraising budget and ensuring resources are used effectively.
• Leading, motivating and developing the fundraising and marketing team, supporting a positive and collaborative culture.
• Overseeing the recruitment, management and engagement of staff and volunteers within the team.
• Developing and delivering an integrated marketing and communications strategy alongside the Marketing & Communications function.
• Ensuring the organisation has a strong and consistent brand, tone of voice and presence across its communications.
• Overseeing engaging content across the website, social media, newsletters, press releases, annual reports and other channels.
