Job summary

Carriera Limited is seeking a senior planning professional to lead programme strategy across large infrastructure and multi-phase development projects in the UK. The role is autonomous, focusing on shaping delivery sequences, risk, and recovery options while challenging contractor programmes and aligning with client objectives.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, utilise Primavera P6 or MS Project, and engage with executive-level sponsors.

Qualifications

Significant experience in construction planning and programme management at senior levels (Senior Planner/Lead Planner/Planning Manager or equivalent).
Strong client-facing experience with ability to present strategy and risk to executives.
Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Asta, or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of programmes across large-scale infrastructure and multi-phase projects.
Develop programme strategies covering infrastructure, utilities, highways, drainage and enabling works.
Integrate design, procurement, and contractor programmes into a clear delivery strategy.
Review and challenge contractor programmes to ensure alignment with client objectives.
Analyse dependencies, constraints, resources and phasing to determine optimal delivery approach.
Advise clients on programme risks, sequencing, mitigation and recovery options.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align strategy with project objectives.
Provide clear, commercially minded programme advice and challenge where required.
