Job summary

Birmingham City University seeks an Associate Director of Apprenticeship Development to lead the growth and development of the university’s apprenticeship provisions, working closely with academic Schools and Professional Services to support strategic ambitions.

The role focuses on building partnerships, driving recruitment and revenue, and leveraging apprenticeship levy funding to expand provision while collaborating with stakeholders to align curricula with workforce needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience growing apprenticeship provision, student numbers and revenue.
• Experience leading business development within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong track record of developing strategic partnerships with public and private sector organisations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a University-wide strategy for apprenticeship growth, increasing recruitment, revenue and employer engagement.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers and identify business opportunities.
• Lead and develop the Business Development team, setting targets and monitoring performance.
