Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking a Principal to Associate Strategic Land Town Planner to work across Reading, Bristol and Birmingham. You will lead strategic site promotion, engage with landowners, developers and promoters, and guide multidisciplinary teams to unlock development opportunities within planning policy frameworks.

Ideal candidates will be MRTPI qualified with proven experience in strategic land, planning or development, and the ability to manage projects and client relationships

Qualifications

MRTPI qualification and strong experience in strategic land, planning or development.
Ability to manage projects and clients independently.
Good understanding of Local Plans, site promotion and development strategy.

Responsibilities

Lead the promotion of strategic sites through Local Plans and site allocation processes.
Prepare representations, call for sites submissions and planning strategies.
Undertake site appraisals and identify new development opportunities.
Manage strategic residential, mixed-use and employment projects.
Advise landowners and developers on land promotion strategies.
Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Manage key client relationships and support business development.
Mentor junior planners and contribute to team growth.
