Job summary

Persimmon North Scotland is seeking a Land Manager to drive land opportunities and support the region's growth strategy. Reporting to the Land & Planning Director, you will secure land supply from appraisal to acquisition while managing external relationships and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

You will work with Planning, Technical, Commercial and Construction teams to ensure delivery routes are clear and compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential housebuilding, land promotion, planning or development sectors.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Membership of RTPI, RICS or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess short, medium and long-term land opportunities aligned with the region's growth objectives.
• Coordinate land appraisals, viability assessments and risk analysis for investment recommendations.
• Negotiate land contracts with owners and agents and oversee related legal agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, planning consultants and authorities to generate opportunities.
• Monitor local plans, policy changes and competitor activity to support growth objectives.
• Advance land opportunities through internal approvals and governance processes.
• Collaborate with Planning, Technical, Commercial and Construction teams to ensure delivery routes are clear.
• Provide timely management information, reports and forecasts for strategic decisions.
