Job summary

Bowdon Associates Limited is seeking a Land Buyer / Development Manager in Altrincham to secure land opportunities and drive development projects through from sourcing to legal completion.

You will work to support the Land Director, build relationships with landowners and agents, and prepare comprehensive information packs to enable robust land bids. The role requires strong negotiation, planning, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or extensive experience in land acquisition, negotiation, procurement and management.
• Broad technical and legal knowledge with financial/commercial awareness.
• Understanding of legal/planning frameworks in land acquisition and development procurement.
• Experience coordinating planning consents and 106 agreements; knowledge of affordable housing procedures.
• Basic understanding of design/engineering of estate layouts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure land within the region for immediate, short and medium term development.
• Maintain relationships with landowners, agents and land promoters to capture opportunities.
• Prepare and present regional land information packs to support land bids and approvals.
• Project manage land supply delivery from site purchase through to legals and planning stages.
• Collaborate with the Land Director to ensure timely management of land acquisitions.
• Support planning approvals and interface with third-party providers and internal teams.
