Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking an experienced land liaison and acquisitions professional to secure land opportunities and support development strategies. The role involves negotiating with landowners, agents and third parties, reporting progress, and coordinating with the land and technical teams to maximise project value.

You will engage with planning managers, local authorities and external professionals, balancing commercial risk with opportunity while working in a hybrid environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in agent and landowner liaison within the strategic land, construction, house building or planning sector.
• Proven experience of unlocking sites with development potential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Formulating and implementing effective strategies for identifying and approaching owners of land.
• Negotiate offers and contracts on specific sites to benefit Gladman.
• Introduce yourself and the company to landowners, land agents and owners of essential third party land.
• Build rapports with landowners, land agents, colleagues and other professionals.
• Ensure successful leads are communicated to the wider land team in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit financial proposals to secure land and progress negotiations.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues.
• Act with professionalism and integrity at all times.
• Maintain trust of key individuals and group landowners, agents and consultants.
