Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC's Gladman Developments arm seeks an experienced land acquisition professional to identify, approach and secure development sites across the patch. You will liaise with landowners, land agents and external professionals to unlock opportunities within the company's strategy and targets.

Reporting on progress, you will balance commercial risk and return while negotiating offers and contracts to benefit the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in agent and landowner liaison within the strategic land, construction, house building or planning sector.
• Proven experience of being able to unlock sites with development potential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate to different audiences.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to multitask and build rapport.
• Adaptable to changing circumstances and be able to think creatively in response to change and in seeking continual improvement.
• Proactive and an excellent team player.
• Skilled negotiator.

Responsibilities

• Formulating and implementing effective strategies for identifying and approaching owners of land with liaison to Planning Managers in your patch.
• Negotiate offers and contracts on specific sites to benefit Gladman.
• Introduce yourself and the company in a positive manner to engage landowners, land agents and third party landowners.
• Build rapports with landowners, land agents, colleagues and other professionals.
• Ensure any successful leads are communicated to the wider land team and related admin is managed efficiently.
• Prepare and submit financial proposals to secure land and progress negotiations.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with colleagues as appropriate.
• Act with professionalism and integrity at all times.
• Maintain and gain respect and trust of key individuals and group landowners, agents and consultants.
