Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to design and execute a strategy that keeps employees informed, engaged and aligned with company values. You will lead a small team and partner with senior leaders to ensure authentic, transparent messaging across intranet, newsletters and campaigns.

The role requires shaping Saab UK’s internal narrative, coordinating two-way feedback and driving a values-driven culture across the organisation while supporting HR and leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications.
• Experience driving cultural change in an organisation.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, tailoring messages to audiences.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent writing and editing skills; clear communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of employee engagement, culture-building and change communication.
• Comfortable using analytics and engagement metrics to inform planning.
• Knowledge of inclusion and accessibility best practices in communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy aligned with vision, values, and goals.
• Plan and manage communication campaigns for key initiatives and change programs.
• Embed company values across internal channels to reinforce culture and alignment.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to increase visibility and consistency of messaging.
• Create and manage engaging content for intranet, newsletters and internal platforms.
• Enable two-way communication through surveys, Q&A sessions, and town halls.
• Provide strategic guidance to HR and leadership on engagement and culture.
• Manage the internal communications calendar for timely messages.
• Measure effectiveness of strategies and inform future efforts.
• Coordinate internal events to boost engagement and culture.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across communications channels.
• Maintain and enhance internal platforms; support employer branding efforts.
