Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager to design and deliver a clear messaging strategy that strengthens culture and transparency across the organisation.

You will lead the Internal Communications Specialist, partner with senior leaders, and drive employee engagement through multi-channel campaigns, digital content, and campaigns. Hybrid role based in London or the South East with occasional UK/Sweden travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications.
• Experience driving cultural change in an organisation.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for different audiences.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels.
• Team player with problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude.
• Strong editing skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of inclusion and accessibility best practices in communication.
• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an internal communication strategy aligned with vision, values, and goals.
• Plan and manage campaigns to support initiatives, updates and change programs.
• Embed values to reinforce culture and alignment.
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure visibility and consistent messaging.
• Create and manage content across intranet, newsletters, and internal platforms.
• Support two-way communication via surveys, Q&A sessions, and town halls.
• Provide strategic communication guidance to HR and leadership on engagement and change.
• Own the internal communications calendar and timely delivery of messages.
• Measure and report effectiveness of strategies using insights.
• Coordinate internal events to boost engagement and culture-building activities.
• Ensure communications are accessible and tailored to diverse audiences.
• Maintain and enhance internal platforms, collaborating with brand/marketing when needed.
