You will translate complex information into accessible, engaging content for different employee audiences and develop communications across channels such as campaigns, guides, emails and digital outputs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in employee or internal communications, ideally across employee benefits, pensions, reward, wellbeing or insurance
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content
  • Strong design judgement across hierarchy, layout, imagery and accessibility, with the ability to create and edit communications directly
  • Demonstrable design capability
  • Experience of creating and managing content on web-based platforms, such as SharePoint, intranets, or microsites
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to own projects from brief to delivery and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • High standards of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
  • Confidence presenting recommendations, concepts and finished work to stakeholders
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Curiosity about the challenge behind the brief, and the ambition to develop strategic communications and client consultancy capability

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and develop clear, compelling communications across employee benefits, pensions, reward, wellbeing and related People Solutions topics
  • Translate complex or technical information into accessible, engaging content for different employee audiences
  • Develop communications across a range of channels, including campaigns, guides, emails, presentations, toolkits, FAQs and digital communications
  • Apply strong editorial judgement to messaging, structure, tone of voice and calls to action
  • Maintain consistently high standards of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
  • Turn communications briefs and ideas into professional, visually engaging outputs
  • Apply strong design judgement to hierarchy, layout, imagery, accessibility and the overall employee experience
  • Create and edit communications directly rather than relying on a separate creative resource for every requirement
  • Design and build engaging digital communications using web-based design and content programmes (such as Canva and Foleon), including e-newsletters, interactive guides, microsites, infographics and social-style assets
  • Use web-based platforms and content management tools (such as SharePoint, intranets, benefits portals and email newsletter tools) to publish, update and maintain communications
  • Work collaboratively with creative colleagues where more specialist design support is appropriate
  • Keep up to date with emerging design tools and digital trends, including AI-enabled design, to improve the quality, speed and impact of communications
  • Take responsibility for communications projects from initial brief through development, stakeholder review, amends and final delivery
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, maintaining clear visibility of priorities, dependencies and next steps
  • Coordinate feedback from clients, consultants and subject-matter experts to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Take ownership for the quality of the final output rather than simply completing individual production tasks
  • Identify delivery risks early and work constructively with stakeholders to resolve them
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Present communications recommendations, concepts and finished work confidently to stakeholders
  • Ask thoughtful questions that help uncover the wider client need rather than simply responding to the requested deliverable
  • Participate in client discovery conversations and workshops, increasingly taking responsibility for defined elements of client engagement
  • Collaborate effectively across the wider People Solutions business to connect communications with broader client priorities
