Job summary

CMC Consulting Ltd seeks an experienced Interim Finance Director to lead the finance function during a transition. The role acts as a trusted deputy to the CFO and engages with the Board and Executive team to drive robust financial management and decision-making.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, providing commercial insight and managing treasury, risk, and finance team development during the interim period.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant post-qualification experience at Finance Director or senior finance leadership level.
• Proven interim experience delivering value quickly.
• Confidence to challenge and influence at Board level.
• Experience leading finance through change programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to the Executive team and Board during the interim period.
• Deputise for the CFO and represent finance at Board and Executive level as required.
• Challenge and stress-test proposals with independent commercial judgement.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting with a commercial lens.
• Support decision-making, business development and investment appraisal.
