Job summary

EWR Co in Milton Keynes seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies for large-scale construction programmes. You will manage the full lifecycle from tendering to award, ensuring alignment with policy and governance frameworks.

You will engage with suppliers and stakeholders across the business and government, overseeing post-award transition and ongoing performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement within infrastructure or construction.
• Understanding NEC forms of contract and pricing options.
• Familiarity with public procurement regulations including the Procurement Act 2023.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proven ability to engage at senior/executive levels.
• Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools, Jaggaer mentioned as desirable.
• Membership of a professional body such as CIPS, or working towards it (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for large-scale construction projects.
• Manage end-to-end procurement from tendering through contract award.
• Conduct market analysis and engage suppliers in line with policy.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal policies.
• Engage and manage stakeholders across the business and government teams.
• Collaborate with Contract Management for post-award transition.
• Monitor and report procurement performance and resolve issues.
• Line manage an Assistant Procurement Manager with regular reviews.
• Keep value for taxpayers at the heart of procurement decisions.
• Contribute to EWR Co’s values and ways of working.
