Job summary

Portfolio Procurement is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to balance spend across indirect commodities. You will identify, benchmark and select suppliers, manage a global supplier network, and establish contracts to meet KPIs.

The role requires experience in manufacturing environments (low volume/high mix) and strong Excel/MS Office data skills; MCIPS is advantageous. You will drive cost reductions and supplier development while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Experience in indirect category management within manufacturing.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with low volume/high mix.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is advantageous.
MCIPS qualification would be advantageous.
Proficient with Excel to compile and evaluate data.
MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated change management experience in prior roles.

Responsibilities

Control sourcing strategy for a selected group of indirect commodities.
Identify, benchmark, and select new suppliers to deliver strategies.
Manage a global network of suppliers and contracts to meet project schedules.
Establish contracts and framework agreements to ensure supply security and KPI improvements.
Identify alternative sources to reduce costs and improve quality.
Progress supplier development plans to yield tangible improvements.
Coordinate activities between business and suppliers to improve performance.
Manage supplier performance using data to drive improvements.
Collaborate with project teams to meet milestones, specs, and objectives.
