Job summary

Forged Solutions Group is seeking a procurement professional to manage indirect spend across site consumables, services and capital items. You will lead sourcing, supplier relations, and contract updates while driving spend reduction targets and SLA performance.

The role requires degree-level education, experience with ERP systems and MS Excel, plus strong negotiation and prioritisation skills. Manufacturing background and MCIPS progression are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in any discipline.
• MCIPS qualification or working towards.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MRO storeroom management & basic MRP controls.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Indirect procurement experience required.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Work on own initiative.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing of site consumables, services and capital spend (Indirect Spend – approx. £5 million).
• Ensure effectiveness of on-site, 3rd party managed Stores.
• Update and maintain supplier contracts.
• Source quotes for goods and services and raise requisitions.
• Lead and participate in RFPs and category reviews.
• Deliver spend reduction, cost avoidance and working capital savings.
• Implement SLAs to ensure high supplier performance.
• Liaise with Suppliers, Maintenance, Finance and Operations.
• Attend procurement reviews and report on KPIs.
• Resolve invoice disputes and discrepancies using data reporting tools.
