Job summary

Portfolio Procurement is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to balance spend across indirect commodities. You will identify, benchmark and select suppliers, manage a global supplier network, and establish contracts to meet KPIs.

The role requires experience in manufacturing environments (low volume/high mix) and strong Excel/MS Office data skills; MCIPS is advantageous. You will drive cost reductions and supplier development while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in indirect category management within manufacturing.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with low volume/high mix.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is advantageous.
• MCIPS qualification would be advantageous.
• Proficient with Excel to compile and evaluate data.
• MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated change management experience in prior roles.

Job description

The role:

You will be balancing a variety of spend categories, managing multiple stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

• Control of the sourcing strategy for a selected group of indirect commodities.

• Identify, benchmark, and select new suppliers to deliver your sourcing strategy.
• Manage an established global network of suppliers and contracts to deliver against challenging project schedules.
• Establish contracts and framework agreements to ensure security of supply and delivery of improvements against KPIs.
• Identify alternative sources to reduce supply costs and improve quality.
• Implement and progress effective supplier development plans, yielding tangible improvements.
• Co-ordinate activities between the business and suppliers to improve performance aligned with operational and business priorities.
• Manage supplier performance, drawing on your experience and performance data to yield consistent improvements.
• Work with project teams to establish procurement requirements and ensure suppliers are managed to deliver against project milestones, specifications, and objectives.

Skills and Experience required:

• Specific indirect commodity management experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferably low volume / high mix).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject would be advantageous.
• MCIPS qualifications would be advantageous.
• Working with excel to compile and evaluate data will be an important aspect of your role.
• MS Office proficient - Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint.
