Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a Buyer to support indirect procurement, drive cost efficiencies and ensure compliant supply of goods across the business. You will work with stakeholders and suppliers on sourcing, onboarding, contract admin and ESG initiatives.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the Wolverhampton office, providing exposure to multiple indirect spend categories and opportunities to develop procurement skills within a growing automotive parts network.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• CIPS Level 3 or 4 desirable or working towards.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain preferred.
• Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Collaborative with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Awareness of how systems, data and AI tools can improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day purchasing across indirect spend categories.
• Lead sourcing exercises, RFQs, supplier comparisons and cost analysis.
• Deliver cost reductions and efficiency targets.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely supply.
• Manage supplier onboarding, compliance documents and maintain records.
• Negotiate and prepare contracts using templated terms and conditions.
• Lead supplier performance monitoring and SRM activities for allocated categories.
• Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and Finance.
• Ensure business-wide compliance with procurement processes.
• Support use of systems and AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Reduce tail spend and rationalise suppliers.
• Assist in ESG workstreams (Scope 3 Net Zero and EcoVadis).
