Job summary

Marshalls plc is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for indirect categories. The role focuses on sourcing across diverse suppliers, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost savings while ensuring compliance.

It involves partnering with Legal, and building strong internal relationships across functions. The position supports a hybrid work model, with two days per week at the Elland Head Office, and UK-wide supplier engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience across all elements of the Procurement Process including managing suppliers, negotiation, tendering, e-auctions, sourcing and contract development.
• Excellent personal leadership skills.
• Ability to travel to group suppliers and group sites around the UK with occasional overnight stays (some European travel may be required in the future).

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for indirect categories and manage a £30M-£50M annual spend.
• Develop and negotiate commercially advantageous contracts with suppliers.
• Drive supplier performance and ensure compliance with group policies.
• Collaborate with Legal and internal stakeholders to implement robust SLAs.
