Job summary

South Derbyshire District Council is seeking an experienced ICT Manager to lead the Council's ICT service, providing senior strategic and technical leadership to support day-to-day delivery and drive transformation and service improvement.

The role oversees secure, resilient infrastructure, cyber security, service desk and reprographics, and acts as the technical architect to guide modernisation and future technology choices aligned with the ICT Strategy 2026-2030.

Qualifications

• Experience leading secure, resilient ICT infrastructure across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear updates for senior leaders and elected members.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials, PSN compliance and cyber-security outcomes based frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the ICT service to support day-to-day delivery and transform services.
• Oversee secure, resilient infrastructure, cyber security, service desk and reprographics services.
• Act as the Council's technical architect for ICT solutions and future technology choices.
• Develop and implement ICT Strategy aligned with Transformation and Service Improvement objectives.
