Job summary

Executive Network Group represents an iconic multi-site food manufacturer and retailer across the UK. The Senior Health, Safety and Environment Manager will lead an established HSE function, including Environment and ESG, and develop capability to foster a positive safety culture across the business.

The role is ideally based near Newcastle and will span Head Office, UK-wide Retail Stores, Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehouse and Distribution, with day-to-day diary control and board-level

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (including in progress)
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Multi-site management across supply chain, retail stores and sites
• Ability to coach and mentor a team
• Strategic HSE leadership within a fast-paced business
• Credible senior-level presence with operational understanding
• Calm under pressure and able to prioritise tasks

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the HSE strategy to support growth and operational excellence
• Grow and empower the HSE team and the wider community
• Oversee the management system, governance, compliance and risk controls
• Influence senior stakeholders and challenge where needed
• Use data and trend analysis to drive performance and planning
• Provide leadership on HSE legislation and practical risk management
• Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance and incident management
• Maintain risk oversight and organisational resilience
• Develop a high-performing SHE function and community
• Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous SHE improvements
