Job summary

Assured Safety Recruitment is supporting a major European manufacturing group recruiting an HSE Manager for a FMCG site in Norfolk. You will own the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring legal compliance and a safety-first culture across the operation.

You will partner with Site Leadership and the wider European HSE network to drive performance, reduce risk and support operational excellence. The role offers autonomy to shape the agenda at site level.

Qualifications

• HSE leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in implementing HSE management systems.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Health, Safety and Environmental agenda.
• Drive a proactive behavioural safety culture across departments.
• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and corporate standards.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures and systems.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Manage audits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
• Deliver HSE training and coach managers.
• Monitor HSE KPIs and report to senior leadership.
• Support capital projects from an HSE perspective.
• Collaborate with European group to share best practices.
