Job summary

Asset Appointments is recruiting an HRBP to join a global engineering leader, based at Gateshead with responsibility for a Rugby site. You will partner with leadership to shape talent, culture and workforce planning across two entities, visiting Rugby ~2 days weekly with a company vehicle provided for travel.

The role requires CIPD qualification or an HR-focused degree, strong UK employment law knowledge, and proven HRBP experience. A driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or an equivalent HR-focused degree.
• Experience as HRBP or Senior HR Advisor in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder management.
• Ability to translate people metrics into commercial business outcomes.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Rugby and Midlands sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and GM to provide commercial HR insights.
• Develop and drive talent acquisition and retention strategies.
• Coach managers on leadership, performance, and capability.
• Lead change initiatives and restructures with minimal disruption.
• Manage complex ER cases following UK legislation and policy.
• Deliver internal HR training for staff and management.
• Maintain HR master data and produce management reports.
• Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll data quality.
