Job summary

Cafcass in England is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (Employee Relations) based in the East or West Midlands with regular travel to London. You will provide strategic ER leadership, coaching senior leaders, and oversee ER case management across the organisation.

You will guide complex casework, support organisational change, and work with unions and HR colleagues to strengthen ER processes. CIPD membership and senior HR experience are essential for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Significant experience operating at HR Business Partner or Senior HR Business Partner level in a large/complex organisation, with public sector experience preferable.
• Proven expertise in managing complex Employee Relations cases and organisational change programmes.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, including legislative theory and case law.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice on complex Employee Relations matters and policy guidance.
• Oversee ER case management across Cafcass, monitoring cases and reporting on progress.
• Coach and mentor senior leaders in HR policies, including dismissal and tribunal matters.
