Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a talented HR Project Support Officer to join the Strategic Programmes Team within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Service.

You will provide vital support across a range of projects and improvement programmes, help ensure projects are delivered effectively, maintain standards, and translate strategic priorities into action. This role offers varied work and opportunities to collaborate across services and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• We are seeking someone who can combine strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience coordinating and assisting with projects, including performance management, reporting against targets.
• Communicating and liaising with a wide range of people.
• Maintaining sensitive and confidential information.
• Producing detailed written information to communicate information, ideas and opinions.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, delivery and monitoring of strategic projects and improvement programmes.
• Producing reports, action plans and management information to support decision-making.
• Maintaining project documentation, records and performance information.
• Coordinating meetings, working groups and stakeholder activities.
• Supervising and supporting administrative colleagues to ensure the efficient delivery of administrative and project support services.
• Building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
