Job summary

BBS Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Partner for a client in Nottingham. The role provides high‑level HR guidance to managers and senior leaders, supporting the organisation’s People Strategy and effective workforce management.

Responsibilities include handling complex employee relations, supporting hearings and tribunals, advising on employment law, TUPE and policy development, and coordinating workforce change across services.

Qualifications

• Expert HR advice on complex employee relations matters, including attendance, performance management, disciplinary, grievance and conflict resolution.
• Support managers and panels at formal hearings, appeals and Employment Tribunals.
• Liaise with legal teams to manage Tribunal claims and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist HR advice to senior managers on employment legislation, HR policies and case law.
• Lead on designated HR policies and procedures reflecting current legislation and best practice.
• Advise on workforce change, restructures, TUPE and consultation processes.
• Undertake investigations, gather evidence and prepare reports for hearings.
• Consult and negotiate with trade unions on HR matters and joint consultations.
• Develop and deliver HR briefings, coaching and training on policies and employment law.
• Provide advice on job evaluation processes and support appeals.
• Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Provide supervision and support to HR Advisors and teams.
• Attend cross-service meetings and contribute to working groups.
• Support HR services to schools and external clients, including income generation.
• Provide information for SARs and FOI requests.
• Ensure learning from casework is reflected in updated policies and practice.
